Scottish Art - Paintings of Scotland:
Scottish Thistle
by D. Bruce Bennett
Thistle of Scotland
Not for the beige set, this picture of Scotland, done with acrylics in oil style, shows Scotland's national flower - the Scottish thistle - against a deep purple background. Small, square, and detailed, this piece of Scottish Art was bought by a client who could hang it on a wall which allowed close-up viewing.

If you're looking for a similar picture of Scotland depicting the ubiquitous Scottish thistle, Bruce would be happy to oblige. He's painted several in varying sizes and styles, but this is the only one which made it to the on-line status.
Like the style and subject, but have a large wall, needing a much larger piece of Scottish Art? Then you might want to commission original artwork of a Scottish thistle painted much larger, a la Georgia OKeefe.
Okay with the little bit of purple in the thistle, but wanting a different color for the background, one that coordinates with an existing color scheme in your home? No problem. Just check out how commissioning a painting works and contact us.
