Commissioned Scottish Art:
Piper, Loch, Sunset
by D. Bruce Bennett
McIver Piper at Sunset
This commissioned painting is unusual in that it's much larger than any of the other commissions you may have already read about. It was also an unusual transaction because the client decided to have giclée prints made of it to give his sister and daughters as Christmas presents.

How did all this happen? That's what his friends kept asking, as the commission unfolded. He simply conducted a "Scottish piper art" search on the web, found us, and sent us some photos. One was a shot of an unfinished great room in his new home, showing the art niche above the fireplace where he envisioned this 28-inch wide by 52-inch high painting. (That's before framing, folks.)
He and Bruce worked together for four months, perfecting this Scottish art that now dominates the public area of his new home. Though the piper was important to the client, the colors of the sky and loch were equally so. As you can see, it takes pride of place.

Were he and his wife happy with Bruce’s work? Read for yourself.
This client has very graciously allowed us to reprint this artwork, now that we have a high-resolution scan of it on file. If you'd like a print of this work, contact us.
