Scottish Art - Prints of Scotland:
Piper at World Trade Center
by D. Bruce Bennett
Amazing Grace at WTC
The destruction of the World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001 hit Bruce hard, as it did most Americans. A few days later, he heard a lone bagpiper playing at Ground Zero during one of the many memorial services that were to follow that event. The piper was playing "Amazing Grace."

This image of a lone piper among the rubble at Ground Zero is the image he visualized and painted two weeks later, hoping that "God would distribute grace to our burdened and pained hearts." This heart-felt image can help us all remember how comforting the sound of "Amazing Grace" can be when played by a accomplished piper.
Unlike many of our prints, this piece of Scottish Art requires custom matting and framing. Image area measures 8" w x 15.7" h. If you wish the title and artist's name to show and to allow a little of the white "margin" area to show, your mat opening will be about 9" w x 16.875"h.
Customers who purchased this print before October 2002 may notice a slight difference between earlier prints and this one, due to different printing processes.
