Scottish Art - Paintings of Scotland:
Piper at Loch Lomond Highland Games
by D. Bruce Bennett
Seasoned Piper at Loch Lomond
He looks like he knows what he's doing, doesn't he? We're guessing this piper at Loch Lomond Highland Games had probably participated in MANY Highland games competitions before Bruce snapped his photo a few years ago.

As he watched him perform Bruce knew, on the spot, he would eventually have to paint this veteran Scottish bagpiper. With eyes squinted shut in concentration and cheeks puffed out, he presents the perfect picture of a piper giving it his all in yet another pipers' competition. (U.S. pipers may be especially interested in the colorful tartan mingled with the cording connecting the drones.)
Though not a huge piece of original artwork, the frame and mat added to its presence, and we're sure it's making quite a statement in the home of the lucky piper who snapped up this watercolor-style picture of Scotland almost as soon as the painting was uploaded.
Want something very like this seasoned piper? Don't want to hope Bruce decides to paint another and hope you get to it first? Check our commission process, let us know what kind of Scottish Art you'd like for your walls, and we'll be tickled to oblige.
