Scottish Art - Paintings of Scotland:
Highland Cows in Mist
by D. Bruce Bennett
Highland Mist and Hair
A gentle mist settles like a blanket over the Highland hills that form the background of this watercolor-like picture of Scotland. A couple of Highland cows, prized for their rugged constitution and surprisingly gentle temperament, graze contentedly in the mist, alongside a peaty-brown Highland burn.

If youre personally acquainted with Highland cattle or even own a few, youd probably prefer to arrange a commission of your favorite Highland beauty. If youre simply a fan-from-afar, then perhaps youd like to commission a similar version of the Highland cows in this gentle, pastoral Highland scene. To get some ideas, check our Highland Cattle & Dogs page.
