Scottish Art - Prints of Scotland:
Edinburgh Castle in Fog
by D. Bruce Bennett
Foggy Guard Tower Lights, Edinburgh Castle
If you've visited Scotland, you've probably visited Scotland's most famous castle, perched on a volcanic outcropping and majestically overlooking the city. (About a million people tour Edinburgh Castle each year - second only to the tower of London as the most visited site in the U.K.)

Carved out by Ice Age glaciers, this volcanic setting has been ideal for kingly strongholds as far back as the Dark Ages. Saxon King Edwin ruled in the 7th century from this spot that we now call Castle Rock.
If you've visited Edinburgh Castle, it may well have looked like this, with the fog rolling in fast and furious off the Firth of Forth. Re-live that part of your holiday; frame Foggy Guard Tower Lights, Edinburgh Castle. Every time you walk past it, you'll be transported back to Edinburgh for a few seconds. Think of it as a cheap mini-vacation.
While the original has been sold, we still have a few color prints of Edinburgh Castle for sale. We designed the print to be an inexpensive way to recall your Scottish holiday - or remind you of the one you plan to take.
A standard, pre-cut mat and a standard size frame from discount stores or hobby/art stores will complement this Scottish Art nicely. No need to have expensive custom matting and framing done, if youd rather do it yourself.
(Foggy Guard Tower Lights, Edinburgh Castle is also available in an oversize postcard format.)
(You might also want to check Bruce's original painting of Edinburgh Castle, too, where a hazy, Dark-Ages morning sun shines on dimly on an isolated, ancient Edwin's Burgh.)
