Scottish Art - Paintings of Scotland:
Craigievar Castle
by D. Bruce Bennett
Craigievar Castle Fairyland
Craigievar Castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, shows off its seven stories in this watercolor-style painting with a fairyland feel. While this Scottish Art has an ethereal feel to it, it's faithful to the fact that Craigievar Castle appears today almost exactly as it did when it was built in 1626. Unlike most Scottish castles, it has had no additions throughout the centuries.

Rumor has it that this fairy-tale-like Scottish castle was Walt Disney's inspiration for the turrets of his famous Fantasyland Castle. That might explain why some very generous, Scottish-Art-loving grandparents bought this at a benefit auction for their young grand-daughter's room.
How about you? Would you like a painting of Craigievar Castle for your walls - or someone else's on your gift list? Just tell us what you'd like, and we'll be happy to accommodate. (To get some ideas, take a look at our Craigievar Castle in Blizzard.)
