Scottish Art - Paintings of Scotland:
Craigievar Castle in Snowstorm
by D. Bruce Bennett
Craigievar Castle in Blizzard
Located in Aberdeenshire, the seven stories of Craigievar Castle rise straight up from the ground. While this picture of Scotland shows Craigievar embroiled in a fierce blizzard, the painting doesn't obliterate the fact that the castle appears today almost exactly as it did when it was built in 1626. Unlike most Scottish castles, it has had no additions throughout the centuries.

This small, watercolor-style Scottish Art could have been matted and framed as a square by the person who bought it at our local Highland games, though she may have chosen to crop it to a vertical format.
Small matter. Would you like a painting - square, horizontal, or vertical - of Craigievar Castle for your walls? Just tell us what you'd like, and we'll be happy to accommodate. (To get some ideas, take a look at Craigievar Castle Fairyland.)
