Scottish Art - Black-and-White Prints of Scotland:
78th Highlanders of Halifax, Nova Scotia

by D. Bruce Bennett

Sounds of 78th Bravery

Ever watched the 78th Highlanders reenactment drill team? Then you know what all the smoke is about in this black-and-white print from Bruce's original pen-and-ink Scottish Art. As they work their way across the parade field at Highland games, firing, re-loading, firing, reloading, it's an amazing testimony to precision drill.

Prints of Scotland: 78th Highland Regiment from Halifax Citadel

Based at the Citadel, a star-shaped fort in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the 78th Highland Regiment was one of the most famous Scottish military units. Clad in MacKenzie kilts, they held sway at the Citadel from 1869 till 1871. Their 21st-century counterparts travel all over the U.S. and Canada demonstrating their military and bagpipe expertise.

This print, as well as its companions (Into the Beat and Shades 'n Drones) from The Competitors collection, is half-off. Though each of these black-and-white prints is a steal at $9, an even better deal is The Competitors Portfolio, which contains all three prints for only $30.

Packaged in a rich, hunter green wrapper with gold label and cord, this gift portfolio is dressed up for anniversary, wedding, Christmas, and birthday gift-giving times - as well as "happy birthday to me" gifts.

You'll receive a bonus as well: six bookmarks (two of each image) that are trimmed from the prints once they're removed from the portfolio for matting and framing. Just click on the second VISA button below, if you'd like to save yourself $3 - your savings when you buy these three images in portfolio format instead of buying each individually.

These are a deal now, but please be forewarned. We've decided not to reprint our black-and-white products. Therefore, each of our black-and-white prints is actually a limited edition print, and prices may increase as inventory decreases. If you think you might want this Scottish Art for yourself or as a gift for some beloved piper, best to buy now.

If you're looking for a little more colorful Scottish Art depicting the 78th Highlanders, take a quick peek at our Halifax Redcoat original painting or our Finger Action color print.
