Scottish Art - Photos of the British Isles:
Ye Olde Bennett Photo Library
Altogether, to date, we've spent 17 weeks in the British Isles (most of that time in Scotland), shooting photos right and left. No telling how many photos we've shot. And we're not done yet. We intend to return to the British Isles for photo shoots till our feeble legs can't climb steps and our arthritic fingers can't grip luggage handles. We're addicted, and we don't care who knows.
We've said all that to say this. Don't see the castle, cottage, scenery, etc. you want on the list below? Tell us. We just might work it into our next trip. We've done it before for clients. We can do it again.
What follows is an alphabetical list of the places and properties we've shot. Now, we're not claiming our resource photos are professional photography. Our amateur photographs are just the raw data Bruce uses as inspiration when he creates the pictures of Scotland and England you see on this site.
Often, the finished commission is a hybrid of our photos and the client's - or the client's cousin - or the client's parents. You get the picture. The operative word is consent.
Do you have permission from the photographer - whoever it is - to use their photo as a resource for your painting? We can't legally - and don't even want to - steal others' photographic images any more than we want someone to steal one of our fine art images.
So, scroll down through this alphabetical list of places we've photographed and let's hope we have what you want. Then contact us with the place name. We'll send JPGs to get us all started toward your very own commissioned painting of Scotland - or England.
